Healing the Horses’ Hearts
By Lucy Gabrielle
Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc is a horse welfare charity in south-east Queensland, working to help heal the horses’ hearts.
We find that so many of the horses that come into foster care have not only physical and psychological issues, but emotional issues as well. Our focus is on quality care, embracing comprehensive holistic management of horses to rehabilitate them. We address a horse’s crisis needs — food, veterinary care, dentistry and farrier work — and combine this with a range of natural therapies to support and aid their recovery. We use flower essences, homeopathy, Reiki, Bowen therapy, chiropractics, acupuncture, kinesiology, and herbs. Many of these therapies are critical, especially for horses that need re-training to overcome abuse and trauma.
A horse doesn’t come into care without having been through considerable difficulty. So our focus is on helping the horse to reclaim a sense of their own power in a positive way, assist them to release past traumas, and allow them to fully embrace their new life when they are adopted into loving forever homes.
We welcome donations of holistic therapy services, and all monetary donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
What are they thinking?
If you think your pet is just sleeping all day, think again.
Animals are extremely sensitve creatures who have interesting points of view on most topics. Especially when it directly impacts on them such as changes to the family unit, eg separation, additions of people or other pets.
If your pet is experiencing behavioural or medical issues then they could be reacting emotionally to what is going on around them. Want to know what your dog/cat/horse, is actually thinking and how to improve their life?
