The Pure Alternative
Many families are now looking at their way of life how they can create a healthier more natural way of living.
Pure Paws has helped you take the next step, creating this lifestyle for your family pet.
Owner Lesley Richards, an established Sunshine Coast Certified Master Groomer, began exploring natural alternatives for her aging boxer.
After seeing how his quality of life changed, for the better, she wanted to be able to help other families care for their animals in a more natural way.
From this Pure Paws was born, it houses a grooming salon that utilises natural phosphate free grooming products, an on sight dog bakery which bakes wheat, preservative and artificial colour free cookies and treats and a retail store which specialises in offering your dog chemical free alternatives for its everyday living.
Pure Paws also runs grooming courses, puppy preschool and basic information nights on nutrition, coat care and much more.

Marcus Mutts Celebrated!
If you have a pooch who frequents the “doggie beach” at Marcus Beach, then local writer and designer, Helen Barber would love to hear from you.
Helen is currently working on a new photo book and calendar called “Marcus Mutts” which she hopes to have published in time for Christmas. Part of the proceeds will be donated to local charities, RSPCA and The Lion’s Club desexing program.
“This book celebrates the joy and freedom that our furry mates have when they hit the beach, leads off, ball in the mouth and jumping in and out of the waves!. My dog, Oscar is twelve years old, and going to the beach most days is definitely keeping him young - he literally smiles the minute I even mention the word “beach”.”
Helen is asking for people to submit photographs of their dogs playing on Marcus Beach for possible inclusion in the book or calendar.
If you think you have a photo that captures your dogs beach moment perfectly, then please send it as a high resolution jpeg along with your name, contact details (email address and daytime phone number), your dog’s name and a brief caption (no more than 50 words) that describes the scene.
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available for local businesses.
For more information or to submit your photographs, please contact Helen Barber via email hbcreative@gmail.com
