‘Living in the Raw’ has evolved from Laura and Isaac Robson’s passion for a ‘living foods’ lifestyle after years of living a life of unconscious behaviours.
Laura had spent her entire life struggling with excess weight, even after enlisting in the U.S military. She was taught about fitness, without the healthy eating to accompany it.
Upon her discharge, Laura pursued her ‘Personal Trainer Certification’ and began specialising in women’s 30 day Boot Camp programs. This involved not only retraining bodies, but incorporating conscious eating, by journaling food intake and using mental “health” homework to unravel limiting self belief systems. No matter which “diet” or “trend” she attempted in her own journey, there was always a common link of ‘deprivation’ or seeing food as a reward with “cheat meals” thus leading her to
yo-yo dieting.
After meeting her husband Isaac in 2008, they came across a book by Victoria Boutenko called, “12 Steps to Raw Foods”. At the time Isaac was already living a vegetarian lifestyle (after years of a high meat, heavily processed diet), and had shed most of his own excess weight that had been created by a false foods lifestyle.
Laura was living in the USA where the ‘Vitamix’ company is based, and was so inspired by the research on living foods, she purchased a ‘Vitamix’ for their Christmas gift. She says, “We were on a three day fast over the holidays and we came off it via green smoothies and were instantly hooked!
Within the first week of implementing Green fruit smoothies, our cravings banished, energy skyrocketed, senses were heightened, excess weight was effortlessly released and we required less sleep!”
From there, Laura pursued her ‘Living Foods Chef and Instructor Certifications’ via Alissa Cohen, the highly regarded gourmet living food guru in the USA.
Together, Laura and Isaac offer the community tools to be empowered to make the shift to a high living foods lifestyle, via their consultations, living food classes, workshops, 30 Day Programs, dinner parties, as well as prepared live food catering.
“Any cooked food can be recreated with live food ingredients; from pate’, burgers, crackers, biscuits, breads, desserts and even ice cream,” Laura exclaims!
‘Living in the Raw’ offer prepared live food meals for sale at Northey Street Market, Windsor, every Sunday and provide catering to local Brisbane area organic cafes, businesses and residences.
